New Season, New QB’s
The new year of football is upon us. After a year where one team went 18-0 and lost the Superbowl. How could the NFL possibly be as exciting this year? Leading into this new season there is many new faces at quarterback. Brett Favre is now a Jet, Pennington is a Dolphin, new is Atlanta’s Matt Ryan and old is Kurt Warner winning the QB in Arizona. This off season there was no bigger story than Favre wanting to keep playing and not being able to do it in Green Bay. His numbers should stay the same relatively but the wins will be the only thing the jets fans will want to see. In a tough AFC east the Jets will hard pressed to take over as division leader. New England is the powerhouse but the Jets should make the playoff as a wild card. Pennington gets the boot with the arrival of Favre in NY but Miami signs him only one day after being let go. The one good thing for Pennington in Miami is that the Dolphins were so bad last year that the only place they can go is up. Tomorrow we will see the new and old in the QB position and the new season will start. First up Thursday is Redskins at Giants.
